‘The proof of the Winter Wreath is in the hanging’ to put a topical twist on a very old proverb.
Wildlife loves leaf litter. As a gardener I like it too. It enriches the soil and gives me mulch. I gather the leaves and pile them at the back of my border. Then I wait and wonder who might enjoy them. That’s a tale for another day. For today let’s concentrate on the rich earth…
This little fella was following me round last time I was in the garden, hoping I’d made his life a bit easier and had unearthed some worms for him.
Thank you for joining the Spring KAL. Thank you also to the knitters of the Winter KAL whom I asked to send me their favourite Spring words. They sent me lots and I’ve use them as my inspiration for the next 20 days of projects.
