Wildlife loves leaf litter. As a gardener I like it too. It enriches the soil and gives me mulch. I gather the leaves and pile them at the back of my border. Then I wait and wonder who might enjoy them. That’s a tale for another day. For today let’s concentrate on the rich earth…
I’ve always fancied foraging for wild edible plants. I have berries at the allotment in the plot and in the hedgerow. The penultimate day of the KAL and I’d like to recommend to you two cute, ‘dipping into and out of’ books. When you are feeling in need of some coziness they are a good reference point.
As Winter wreath decorations go, this one is my last and favourite. It’s the epitome of Hygge. Enough said apart from I hope you enjoy my pattern.
The Auricula Theatre became the in thing in the Victorian era. A good friend of mine made me one. Not quite as elaborate as this one but I love it all the same.
